Former Ringling clown. Film certificate from New York University. Many years in network news in DC. Taught several video production courses for Media General productions.
Produced several short films that have been official selections in festivals around the U.S. and abroad. Titles include “NightLife”, “Borderline Bonfire”, “Which Way?” and “Meet Lora Pendleton”. Some of the fests are Kent Film Festival, All-American Film Festival, Ava Gardner Film Festival, Felder Film Festival, Revolve Film and Music Festival, Deep Fried Film Festival. His short, “Veronica Always”, has won “Best Family Film” at the 2008 Secret City Film Festival, and the “Bronze Pecan Award” at the 2008 Seguin Film & arts Festival.
Owner of BeeryMedia.com in Carrboro, NC and occasionally takes paying jobs. Past chair and founder of “The Carrboro Film Festival” which held it’s Inaugural festival in 2006 to standing room only audiences. Volunteer coordinator for the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and curator of the monthly film series, Century Center Cinema, in Carrboro, NC.
Most importantly though, Nic is dad to Kelly and Simon!
